Governors' Action Plan

The Governors' Action Plan for Healthy and Resilient Coasts was released at the State of the Gulf of Mexico Summit on March 28-30, 2006 (www.stateofthegulf.org). The Governors' Action Plan is intended to be a dynamic starting point for effective regional collaboration, setting the stage for a long-term partnership that can address an expanded suite of issues, culminating in a healthier Gulf of Mexico ecosystem and economy.

Implementation Activities Matrix

The Governors' Action Plan challenges the new Alliance partnership to make tangible progress over the next 36 months on each of the five identified priority issues through eleven defined actions. These actions and supporting activities of state, local, and federal agencies and other organizations are detailed in the associated Implementation Activities Matrix.
